I love my friends.

I just have to say it, because I truly have the best friends in the world. Sometimes I forget, and life gets in the way. But my friends are always there for me, and I love them for that. I get so down about stupid things all the time, and when it comes down to it...I couldn't be luckier. So thank you all....you know who you are.

    We all love you just the same and hopefully you realize that. You're a great friend and every single one of your friends knows that. Don't ever think that isn't as big of a deal as it really is. Yours truly, the Dalai.

    Everyday, we try to live our lives as obstacle free as we can, and enjoy it a bit along the way. As dreams emerge in our minds, we fantasize about that perfect life that just barely eludes us. As soon as we have our wishes within grasp, just as you've said...life gets in the way. Life is always getting in the way.

    But...

    As far as obstacles go, you should be glad that life happens to stall you just long enough to notice what you already have all around you.
    ...You notice your friend's smile that is infectious.
    ...You notice the quirky things your friends do that make you laugh.
    ...You notice that hug from a friend that helps ease your pain.
    ...You notice that you have the same effect on your friends.
    ...You know this.

    These stupid little things that get you down, are mere opportunities. Opportunities for your friends to show you that they love you too.

    I'm glad that life got in my way long enough to allow you into mine. I'm happy to be your friend.

    And when it comes down to it...I couldn't be luckier.
